US raw steel production climbs
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 10 December, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Production stands at 1.674 million short tons at 70.6% capability utilisation, up 2.4% from the previous week, when capability utilisation was 68.9%, and up 12.7% from the equivalent week last year, when capability utilisation was 62.1%.
