US raw steel production climbs
US raw steel production rose on-week in the week ended 8 August, though it remains significantly down on-year, Kallanish reports.
US raw steel production stands at 1.354 million short tons at 60.4% capability utilisation, up 2% from the previous week, when utilisation was 59.3%, but down -26.5% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 79.1%.
