US raw steel production climbs
US raw steel production inched up both on week and on year in the latest estimate by the American Iron and Steel Institute, Kallanish reports.
US raw steel production stands at 1.703 million short tons at 73% capability utilisation, up 0.7% from the previous week, when capability utilisation was 71.4%, and up 0.3% from the equivalent period last year, when capability utilisation was 72.6%.
