US raw steel production climbs
US raw steel production rose both on week and on year in the week ended 23 February, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.907 million short tons during the week at 81.9% capability utilisation, up 1.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 81%, and up 5% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 77.9%.
