US raw steel production again ticks up
US raw steel production increased in the week ended 15 August, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.377 million short tons at 61.5% capability utilisation, up 1.7% from the previous week, when utilisation was 60.4%, but down -25.2% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 79.1%.
