US raw steel posts minor increase
US raw steel production rose slightly on-week in the week ended 6 March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production reached 1.755 million short tons during the week at an average capability utilisation of 77.4% - up 0.3% from the previous week, when utilisation was 77.2%, but down 0.3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 76.2%.
