US raw steel output upticks on-week
US raw steel production upticked week-on-week and continues to be higher than in the corresponding week of last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Steel production was at 1.741 million short tons at 74.7% capability utilisation, up 2.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 73.2%, and also up 5.2% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 70.8%.
