US raw steel moves down on week
US raw steel production slipped on week but remains strongly up year on year, Kallanish reports.
US production stands at 1.76 million short tons at 75.6% capability utilisation, down -0.4% from the previous week, when utilisation was 75.9%, but up 6.3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 70.9%.
