US raw steel inches up
US raw steel production rose slightly from last week in the week ended 15 October, though it remains down on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.59 million short tons at 67% capability utilisation, up 0.3% from last week, when capability utilisation was 66.8%, but down -2.4% from the equivalent week last year, when capability utilisation was 68.1%.
