US raw steel growth continues
US raw steel production climbed both on week and on year in the week ended 2 March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel stands at 1.927 million short tons at 82.8% capability utilisation, up 1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 81.9%, and up 5.9% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 78%.
