US raw steel figures climb on-week
US raw steel production rose on-week but remains down on-year in the week ended 1 August, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.328 million short tons at 59.3% capability utilisation, up 0.6% from last week, when utilisation was 58.9%, but down -28.1% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 79.3%.
