US raw steel falls on week
US raw steel production slipped on week but remains up from last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Steel production stands at 1.715 million short tons at 73.6% capability utilisation, down -1.4% from last week, when utilisation was 74.6%, but up 9% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 68.7%.
