US raw steel falls on week
US raw steel production slipped week-on-week but remained up from last year in the week ended 9 June, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.753 million short tons at 74.8% capability utilisation, down -0.1% from the previous week, when utilisation was 74.9%, but up 0.3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was also 74.9%.
