US raw steel falls on week
US raw steel production slipped on week but remains up year on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Raw steel production was 1.776 million short tons at 76.2% in the week ended 31 March, down -1.5% from the previous week, when utilisation was 77.4%, but up 3.5% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 73.6%.
