US raw steel output falls in latest survey
US raw steel production fell both on week and on year in the week ended 8 October, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.585 million short tons at 66.8% capability utilisation, down -1.6% from last week, when capability utilisation was 68.9%, and down -2.7% from the equivalent week last year, when capability utilisation was 68.1%.
