US raw steel falls from last week
US raw steel production slipped week on week but remains up significantly year on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.856 million short tons at 79.2% capability utilisation, down -0.4% from the previous week, when utilisation was 79.5%, but up 8.5% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 73.4%.
