US raw steel falls from last week
US raw steel production slipped on-week but remains up on-year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel stands at 1.637 million short tons at 70.2% capability utilisation, down -4.7% from the previous week, when utilisation was 73.7%, but up 1.9% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 67.8%.
