US raw steel output drops on-week, year
US raw steel fell both week-on-week and year-on-year in the week ended 23 July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.703 million short tons at 72.8% capability utilisation. This is down -2.5% from the previous week, when capability utilisation was 74.7%, and down -2.7% from the previous year, when capability utilisation was 73.2%.
