US raw steel climbs on week, year
US raw steel production inched up both on week and on year in the week ended 1 September, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US raw steel production stands at 1.87 million short tons at 79.8% capability utilisation, up 0.6% from the previous week, when utilisation was 79.3%, and up 6.3% from the equivalent week last year, when utilisation was 75.4%
