US plate prices remain flat on-week
US plate prices remain at $1,460-1,480/short ton this week. This is the same range as last week. This represents a slide from the last week in May when plates were transacting, in the spot market, between $1,480-1,500/st, Kallanish reports.
“Steel service centers are selling at same levels—flat. The only industry excelling is the mining industry. It still seems likely Nucor will open in July,” a distribution source shares.
