US plate prices hold while demand remains high
Over the last four weeks, US plate prices haven’t budged as demand stays high and summer bookings spill into fall, confirms a supply-side source to Kallanish.
Kallanish is holding prices at $1,910-$1,930/short ton, domestic mill, ex-works.
“No changes this week, July is open at the previous numbers. The business remains strong. Heavier plate above 4-inch has actually moved up with mill lead times into August and September,” the source shares.
