US plate prices hold steady, Nucor issues notification
US plate prices have held at $1,440-1,450 per short ton, the same range as the previous week, learns Kallanish.
Nucor Plate Group issued a price notification on 29 June stating it would maintain prices set in its 19 April price letter. April’s letter increased quench-and-tempered, normalised and as-rolled plate by $40/st. During the week of 19 April, transaction prices for plates ranged from $1,500-1,540/st.
