US OCTG prices tick up on inventories, oil
US oil country tubular goods prices continue to inch up on the back of dwindling inventories and gathering oil strength, Kallanish reports.
One buy-side source says the $1,300/short ton ceiling has been cracked for some upgradeable products. Some import offers have been keeping pace, he adds.
A second buy-side source, however, says some vanilla J55 products are still as low as $900/st, a sign that the market is not yet fully recovered.
