US OCTG prices lose some ground
US oil country tubular goods pricing appears to be settling as supply slightly outpaces demand, Kallanish learns from market sources.
“It’s starting to leak a little,” says one buyer. “As supply response strengthens, from both domestics and imports. Third-quarter could be the top of the market.”
Underlying market fundamentals are good, he adds, but prices have dropped by an average of about $50/short ton since last week.
