US OCTG prices up, buyers fear correction
US oil country tubular good (OCTG) prices continue to trend up on the strength of the oil rig count, though some buyers suspect a correction could occur before year-end.
Kallanish raised its P110 domestic welded casing price Friday to $1,550-1,600/short ton.
“Prices are solid on both the import and domestic fronts,” says one Gulf-coast buyer. “But the overheated nature is causing pause for the third and fourth quarters.”
