US OCTG imports plummet in July, prices frozen
US oil country tubular good (OCTG) imports appear to have reached an at-least 12-month low in July, Kallanish learns from US Department of Commerce license data.
The US issued licenses for 57,572 tonnes of OCTG in July, down from June’s preliminary figure of 97,014t.
The previous nadir came in February, when US imports totaled just 75,106t. Last July, the US imported 182,817t.
