US mill shipments surge in June
US steel mill shipments rose sharply from May to June, though they remain down on-year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US mill shipments totaled 6.02 million short tons in June, up 10.3% from May but down -22% from June 2019.
On-month, hot-dipped galvanized sheet shipments rose by 33%, while hot-rolled sheet shipments rose by 12% and cold-rolled sheet shipments rose by 14%.
