US mill shipments slip in July
US steel mills saw their shipments fall from June to July, though they remain up significantly year on year, Kallanish understands.
US mills shipped more than 7.911 million short tons in July, down -1% from their June total, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Hot-rolled sheet shipments fell -3%, hot-dipped galvanized shipments fell -4%, and cold-rolled shipments were unchanged.
