US mill shipments increase in July
US steel mill shipments increased in July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
July’s total of 8.115 million short tons is an increase of 5.1% from June and 2.6% from July 2018.
Cold-rolled sheet shipments increased by 9% on-month, while hot-rolled sheet shipments moved up 6% and hot-dipped galvanized sheet shipments remained level.
Year-to-date shipments were 56.338m st, up 2% from last year.
