US mill shipments fall in June
US mill shipments fell both on week and on year in June, according to the American Iron and Steel Institute.
June shipments stood at 7.63m short tons, down -0.4% from May and -1.7% from June 2015, Kallanish notes.
Both hot-dipped galvanized and cold-rolled sheet shipments increased 2% from May to June, and hot-rolled shipments fell -1%.
Year-to-date shipments stand at 44.14m st, up 0.4% year on year.
