US mill shipments fall in February
US steel mill shipments fell on month in February but remain up on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US steel shipments totaled 7.744 million short tons, down -4.2% from January but up 2.9% from February 2018.
Hot-rolled sheet shipments rose 2% from January, while cold-rolled sheet shipments fell by -3% and hot-dipped galvanized shipments fell by -4%.
