US mill shipments fall in February
US steel mill shipments slipped from January to February but moved up year on year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
February shipments totaled 7.526 million short tons, down -1.5% from January but up 4.1% from February 2017.
Hot-rolled shipments fell by 5% from January. Cold-rolled fell 3% and hot-dipped galvanized fell -2%.
Year-to-date shipments stand at 15.162m st, up 1.5% from last year.
