Mill production continues to rise in April
Raw steel production in the US continued to rise last week to the highest weekly amount since early February, Kallanish learns from the latest American Iron and Steel Institute report.
Operating at a 80.8% capability utilisation rate, US mills produced an estimated 1.83 million short tons of raw steel products in the week ending 23 April. This is a 1% weekly increase in raw steel production but a 2.7% decrease on-year.
