US mill output drops for third week
Raw steel production in the US dipped for a third consecutive week, according to the latest data maintained by the American Iron and Steel Institute.
During the week ended 6 November, US mills operated at 83.4% of capability, producing 1.841 million short tons of raw steel. This was down from the week before when operating rates of 84.3% produced 1.86m st.
