US loses construction, manufacturing jobs in January
The US saw employment losses in both the construction and manufacturing industries from December to January, Kallanish learns from data released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
According to a recent employment report by the BLS, the US lost 3,000 net construction jobs in January. This marks the first time construction employment has decreased in the past 8 months. Employment for the industry remains down 256,000 net jobs since February 2020.
