US line pipe prices dip in December
Average US line pipe prices appear to have slipped in December, according to analyst Pipe Logix.
Overall US line pipe prices fell -1.9% to $1,908/short ton from November to December. Domestic prices fell -2.1% to $2,121/st, while import prices fell -1.6% to $1,696/st.
Pipe Logix notes that December was the fifth consecutive month of line pipe price decreases, but December’s prices are still up 21% from December 2017, Kallanish understands.
