US, Japan launch trade consultations over 232 tariffs
The US and Japan have formally launched consultations to work together to resolve trade issues stemming from the 232 tariffs.
US commerce secretary Gina Raimondo and Japan’s minister of economy, trade, and industry Haguida Koichi met in Tokyo on Monday. They announced the start of the US-Japan Commercial and Industrial Partnership to strengthen relations between the two nations.
