US imports spike in March
US imports appear to have risen sharply in March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Citing license data from the US Department of Commerce, the institute puts total March imports at 3.48 million short tons, 2.54m st of which was finished. That is up 47.3% and 32.1%, respectively, from February’s preliminary tally.
