US imports slide in February
US steel imports appear to have fallen in February, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
Citing license data from the US Department of Commerce, the AISI puts total February imports at 2.728 million short tons, down -3% from January’s final import total of 2.814m st.
Likewise, February finished steel imports fell -10.7% from January to 2.08m st.
