US imports rise in March
US imports rose 5% on month in March, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
March total imports reached 2.677 million short tons, 1.825m st of which were finished – up 5% and 3.6%, respectively, from February.
The increase was led by black plate imports, which rose 187%; rebar imports, up 154%, and heavy structural shapes, up 118%.
