US imports rise in July
US imports appear to have risen in July, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
The US imported a total of 3.028 million short tons in July 1.843m st of which was finished. That’s up 48.3% and 6.6%, respectively, from June.
Year-to-date, the US imported 18.666m st, 13.536m st of which was finished – down -10.6% and -16.4%, respectively, from last year.
