US imports rise in April
US steel imports appear to have risen significantly in April, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
US steel imports reached 3.967 million short tons in April, up 19% from March’s total of 3.335m st.
Finished tonnage imported in April was 2.923m st, up 17.6% from March’s finished tonnage figure.
