US imports remain up nearly 45% on-year
Steel imports to the US remain up by nearly 45% year-to-date in November, according to the latest data sent to Kallanish from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
Monthly imports to the US rose by 13.9% in November, reaching a total of 3.12 million short tons. Finished steel imports rose by 9.6% from the prior month to 2.58m st in November.
