US imports fall in August
Both US total and finished steel imports appear to have declined in August, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI).
Citing data from the US Department of Commerce, the AISI reports total August imports of 3.028 million short tons and finished imports of 2.282m st. Both figures are down 8% from July.
