US imports drop in September
US imports appear to have dropped hard in September both on-month and on-year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Total US import licenses reached 1.896 million short tons in September, 1.528m st of which was for finished steel – down -6.2% and -14.8%, respectively, from August’s final tallies.
