US imports drop in February
US imports appear to have slipped in February, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Based on US Department of Commerce data, the institute puts total February imports at 2.428 million short tons, down -15.6% from January’s preliminary total.
Finished steel imports hit 1.95m st in February, down -16.2% from January.
