US imports dip in February
US import totals appear to have slipped in February but remain up from last year, Kallanish learns from the American Iron and Steel Institute.
Citing Census Bureau license data, the institute puts February total steel imports at 2.685 million short tons and finished steel imports at 2.043m st. This was down -4.6% and -12.3%, respectively, from January.
