US HRC price makes modest climb
Prices for hot rolled coil in the US have increased to $870-900/short ton from last week when the range was $850-900/st. Cold rolled coil prices held steady between $1,050-1,100/st, Kallanish reports.
“With all of our HRC lead times into January, I think buyers are feeling a bit comfortable that buying January at $950 is both safe and market competitive,” says a mill source.
