US HRC, CRC prices creep down
US pricing for hot-rolled and cold-rolled coils are inching down under the pressure of market forces, Kallanish confirms.
Currently, HRC stands at $960-$1,000/short ton, domestic, ex-works, mill.
“We actually still had some transactions above $1,100/st on HRC last week, but those opportunities seem to be fading,” a mill-side source says.
Cold-rolled coil slipped from last week's $1,550-$1,640/st to this week’s range of $1,500-1,600/st.
