US HR imports decline for a second month

US imports of hot-rolled coil appear to have fallen for a second consecutive month, according to the latest US Department of Commerce data. Licenses to import HR steel totalled 256,492 tonnes in August, a 14% decline from July’s final import count of 298,831t.
